[OOC] Permissions Post

chocolateisbrainfood and just ask me before adding me. I'll probably say yes, but I like to get to know who I'm adding a bit first.
Backtagging: Yes please! I can be slow when work is busy so I will backtag as long as you want.
Threadhopping: Ask first! As long as all players involved are cool with it, I'm cool with it.
Fourthwalling: Depends on the context so just ask me first.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): I'm not offended easily as long as it's clear that the behavior is IC for the character, but flippant discussion and glorifying of alcoholism, drug abuse, prejudice and/or discrimination or other personal topics like that are not something I'm comfortable with playing out without first talking it out. If it crosses a line, I'll let you know and I hope you will do the same.

Basics: 25 y/o biracial med student about to go into his Residency. Very powerful light mage, has some Trauma related to demonic heritage, and has refused to use most magic as a way to distance himself from it.
Birth name was Yusei Miyamimoto. Comes from a long line of Light Mages who had been hiding that their elemental lineage actually comes from their demonic heritage. He was born with more obvious traits of this heritage and stronger natural abilities which led to his father's family being very cold toward him and bullied by some of the other connected families in the neighborhood. He spent his childhood and early teen years trying to be a Good Grandson to please his grandfather and win his family's approval unknowing of this. Then he was kidnapped by a cult seeking out people with demonic heritage to use in rituals that would force demons into bonded servitude. It was very Not Good for him and he was tortured, experimented on, and forced to fight in matches to draw out their demonic blood. Shit Happened, he gets rescued, but in the end he's left with a lot of scars and trauma. Then the truth came out finally in his family and he and his parents disowned themselves and went to the States to be with his mother's family. He refused therapy, suppressed the trauma as much as he could, but is dealing with a mystical voice from the other side of the Gates calling out to him in his dreams. The voice just so happens to be his demon ancestor, Taiyotori. He keeps Ignoring The Problem and goes off to college and is now about to graduate med school and start his Residency. Except he can feel he's being followed by someone and his old anxiety and paranoia is coming back.
Appearances/Impression: He's Tall (6'4") with broad shoulders and has some muscle, but due to his baggy clothes tends to look bigger than he is. He's calm, quiet, blunt, but polite, and has Resting Tired Face. Always looks like he could use a few naps. Very socially awkward. White hair, purple eyes, keeps one covered because when he was young other kids said he looked creepy otherwise. Often people tend to think something is just Off about him when in his presence, but it's not in a negative way.
Sexuality: Yuki is attracted to guys, but has never actually been romantically attracted to anyone so far in his life and is pretty awkward around people in general, but tries to be friendly in his own way. By that I mean blunt statements and attempts to socialize that never go anywhere if his BFF and cousin Lanette is around to play wingwoman. He is afraid to trust others after a major betrayal as a teen and that makes it hard to relax in social situations.
Kissing this character: Go right ahead but he will be very confused and kind of weirded out if he's not expecting it.
Flirting with this character: Same as above. But more likely to have no idea what to do about it.
Initiating sexual acts with this character: Same part three.
Fighting with this character: He's a skilled but rusty fighter. I'm down for a fight, just let me know so we're on the same page.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): When exposed to light (especially solar), Yuki has accelerated healing and is very hard to seriously injure. When kept away from light for extended periods, he can become very weak and even sickly. So it all depends and lets talk.
Killing this character: Again, this is something to talk about but usually the answer is no.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Go right ahead, but he's going to know about it. He has shields to block this but if you're strong enough you can push through them, but he's definitely going to sense you and may try to poke back.
SPIRITUAL EXTRA SENSORY: Yuki is capable of seeing the auras/souls of others (human and otherwise) and assessing their mood, health, magical resonance, and the general sense of who they are as a person based on that. If he comes into close contact with that aura he can also feel their surface level emotions (or more if he pushes for it, but that involves physical contact). He can be overwhelmed by all of this sensory information and thus uses a Blinding Spell to block it off. The Blinding Spell can be overridden by someone with a powerful enough aura or strong enough emotions, or if the spell has worn down. He needs to have it re-strengthened yearly. If you are okay with him using this ability with regards to your character please let me know below. This is an OPT-IN ONLY ability not an opt-out.
